Tissue repair The briefings

Costs Questions

Your tissue repair discussion

# Leave with answers you can explain.

Bring the claim that caught your eye. Ask the person assessing you to connect it to your own problem, in words that make sense to you.

Question file · September 26, 2026.

In this briefing

- Ask what is being treated

- Ask what the proposal actually contains

- Ask which result supports the claim

- Ask how the plan would be reviewed

- Ask what the agreement would cost

## Ask what is being treated

- What is your working explanation for my symptoms?

- What else needs checking before we choose a treatment?

- What are the other options for this problem?

## Ask what the proposal actually contains

- What is the full name and the form of the substance?

- Does the exact product have US approval for this use?

- If it is made to order, what patient need calls for that?

- Which pharmacy would prepare and dispense it?

Preparing a medicine for a patient’s needs is called compounding. A pharmacist or doctor can do that preparation.

FDA is short for Food and Drug Administration, the US regulator for medicines.

FDA does not approve medicines made to order, according to US rules checked September 26, 2026.

## Ask which result supports the claim

- Can we look at the study behind the healing claim?

- Was the same substance and form tested in people with my problem?

- What did the study measure, and what did it leave unanswered?

- What improvement would we look for in my daily life?

## Ask how the plan would be reviewed

- What concerns are specific to my health and other medicines?

- How do I contact you when questions come up later?

- What findings would lead us to stop and reassess?

- When would an examination in person be needed?

The Federation of State Medical Boards draws its membership from state bodies that license doctors. The group gives guidance; each state enforces its own rules.

In guidance checked September 26, 2026, the medical-board federation calls for patients to be able to raise their own questions.

## Ask what the agreement would cost

- Can I have a full written quote, with each charge listed?

- What is included after the first visit?

- What payment continues if no medicine is prescribed?

- What are the cancellation and refund terms?
